Welcome to The Leather Varden. These terms apply to your use of this website and to every order you place on it. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Return & Exchange Policy.

1. About us

This website is run by The Leather Varden (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at any time through our contact page.

2. Using this website

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
  • The information you give us must be true and complete.
  • If you create an account, keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed through your account.
  • You must not misuse the website, for example by attacking its security, copying its content in bulk or placing fraudulent orders.

3. Our products

Every Varden piece is made from genuine leather. Leather is a natural material: its grain, texture, colour and small natural marks vary from hide to hide, so your piece will not look exactly like the photos or like another customer’s. These are the signs of real leather, not faults.

We show colours as accurately as we can, but what you see depends on your screen. The measurements in our size guides are approximate. If you are unsure about your size, contact us before you order and we will help you choose.

4. Prices

  • Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are shown on each product page.
  • Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • We may change our prices at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already confirmed.
  • If a price is clearly shown in error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

5. Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards and PayPal. Payments are processed securely by Stripe and PayPal; we never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken when you place your order. Your bank may charge a foreign transaction fee, which we do not control.

6. Orders

  • After you place an order, we email you an order confirmation. This means we have received your order; it does not yet mean we have accepted it.
  • Your order is accepted when we send you the shipping confirmation email.
  • We may decline or cancel an order, and refund you in full, if an item is out of stock, a price or description was shown in error, we cannot deliver to your address, or we suspect fraud.
  • Changing or cancelling an order: contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not shipped yet, we can change it, or cancel it for a full refund. Once it has shipped, please follow our Return & Exchange Policy.

7. Shipping and delivery

  • We ship worldwide. Orders are usually dispatched within 3 working days.
  • Delivery times shown at checkout are the courier’s estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather or other events outside our control, but we will always help you trace your parcel.
  • When your order ships, we email you the courier name and tracking number. You can also follow your order on our Track Shipment page.
  • Please check that your shipping address is correct. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, or because it was not collected, we can send it again at your cost, or refund you minus the shipping costs.
  • Responsibility for your order passes to you when it is delivered.

8. Duties and taxes

Your country may charge import duties, taxes and customs fees on international orders. Unless checkout shows that they are already included, you pay these charges when the parcel arrives. We cannot predict the amount; your local customs office can tell you more. If you refuse to pay them, the parcel may be returned to us, and we cannot refund those charges.

9. Returns, refunds and faulty items

You can return items within 14 days of delivery. The details are in our Return & Exchange Policy and our Refund Policy. If an item arrives damaged or faulty, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will put it right.

10. Care and everyday wear

Our products are made to be worn every day. Creasing, softening and patina that come with wear are part of the character of leather and are not faults. Damage caused by accidents, heat, water, incorrect cleaning or alterations is not covered. Please follow the care instructions on each product page. If you notice a fault in materials or workmanship, contact us; your rights for faulty goods under your local consumer law always apply.

11. Reviews

You are welcome to review products you have bought. Reviews must be honest and about the product, and must not contain offensive, illegal or misleading content or anyone’s personal information. New reviews are checked before they appear, and we may decline or remove reviews that break these rules. By submitting a review, you allow us to show it on this website.

12. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including the name The Leather Varden, our logos, collection names, product designs, photographs and text, belongs to us or to those who license it to us. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your legal rights as a consumer in your country, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Within those limits, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which The Leather Varden is registered. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
